Matt & Amy :: Engagements

March is almost over... I'm not exactly sure what happened to it, but what a month it's been.

We went from being really sick and miserable to having 80 degree weather, which allowed us to really enjoy some much needed fresh air and warmth. I have to say, last week I did not sit down much and my hips were on fire all week from the numerous walks we did around the neighborhood. It felt so nice to get out my summer clothes and actually get some more freckles on my face from all the sun.

Despite the beginning of the month being a plague, the month is finishing off to be quite nice and tomorrow we get to finish off with a super sweet couple's wedding... and that super sweet couple is worth more then the MEGA MILLION LOTTERY!

Speaking of that super sweet couple... (I know this is much overdo, but seriously, how to people get stuff done with active babies?!?! I'm clueless... but better late then never right?)

Matt & Amy are making things official tomorrow and we could not be more thrilled! I met Matt a few years back when I first moved here. He was a fellow photographer, plus an amazing runner. I not only got the chance to help him out with his track team, but I even got to photograph his sister's wedding as well. Both events were so fun, and now it's his turn to be front and center, or I should say next to his beautiful bride, Amy. She is quite possibly the sweetest, cutest, most loving person you have ever met! I think the two of them are absolutely PERFECT for each other and the way they look at each other is so SWEET!!!!

We are so excited and cannot wait to be a part of such a wonderful day!

Ryan & Samantha :: Engagements

Don't you just love doing things you've never done before?!

I get so excited about new adventures to experience, especially when I have not even heard of this "new" adventure. Tonight will be the very first time I have ever gone...

WHIRLYBALL'ing!

I have no idea what this game even is, what to do, or what to even expect, but from what Todd described it as, it sounds fun! I just hope that my competitive nature doesn't get the best of me and I end up getting jumped because I am trash talking my opponents so bad all they want to do is jump out of their buggy and punch me in the face. Well, depending on their size, I could probably take them down easily... Ha! Here I go getting worked up already and we aren't even playing yet. Haha!

I'm totally kidding! I would never do anything like that, unless I knew them, then I would consider some "friendly trash talk". Haha!

But something else I'm so excited for is this coming weekend... another "WINTER" WEDDING!

Ryan and Samantha are the wonderful couple we get to spend this upcoming Saturday with. Although, I'm not sure how "wintery" it's going to be, but I do know that however it is, it will be wonderful! Both of them are amazingly sweet and so fun, that it does not even matter what the weather will be like. I love when couples are so natural and how they interact is so comfortable. That is exactly how Ryan and Samantha are... so natural and so comfortable! It was such a joy to see them together, and see them interact with each other. They are so sweet and adorable together... Plus, they are dog people... and we LOVE dogs too, so we LOVE them! Haha!

Congratulations you two... we are so excited for your special day to be here so soon!

Carl & Renay :: Engagements

Down south they don't see much snow... I guess up north we don't either, as of this year.

But I guess we are MORE likely to see it up here.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm really enjoying the snowless winter. I'm not a huge fan of snow or even cold, which most of you might already know. But there have been a few white flurries that have shown up randomly and one of those random moments were during an engagement session for a couple who lives down south.

Carl & Renay was that memorable "Southern" couple! I say memorable for a few reasons, one of those being as they are SOOO CUTE together, it's hard to forget how adorable they are towards each other and how they treat one another... and for two, not more than 5 minutes into our session a mini-blizzard hit Birmingham and we were definitely not prepared for that madness. Ha! But it added a fun and comical relief to our session. I absolutely loved getting to know them better... as both of them are equally incredible, and together... even more!

Congratulations to you both... we are so happy for you and are looking forward to seeing you again!

I think we've entered the teething world and it has not been the most enjoyable. Anyone who has been there can understand the fog I'm in. It doesn't help that we have a total mama's boy, so his mama is all he wants. Thus leaving me little time to keep you guys in the loop on what's been going on.

Brandon & Diana :: Engagements

Who doesn't love a good fireman?

I know I sure do. I grew up with both my aunt and uncle being fire fighters, and we would have so much fun going to visit their fire station. We would do the usual, try on the boots, jacket, hat... so fun! The best part, by far, was sliding down the pole. What a rush! I wonder if that's how the actual fire fighters feel whenever they go for a run. I should really ask my father-in-law, since he was a fireman for years down in Highland Park.

But I find now a days, I don't come across many fire fighters. I guess I don't know very many who are still in that profession or just don't run around in that crowd. Well... until just recently, when I met up with Brandon and Diana for a fun engagement session.

Brandon is actually a fireman down in Ohio and he's so young! You don't find many firemen out there, let alone so young... what a brave soul he is and what sweet souls both Diana & Brandon have. Both of them were so calm, laid back, and SO down to earth. They were extremely kind hearted and EXTREMELY loving towards each other! That's the best! You can just tell how head over heels they are for one another. Makes me love my job even more. I had so much fun chatting with them and getting to know them as they are so fun to be around. I'm so excited for their wedding here in a few months. What a fun day it is going to be and if it's anything like this weather, by then it might be 60 degrees. Wooo!

I love a good love story...

I guess that's why I love weddings so much. I mean LOVE weddings... with CAPS LOCK on! Ha!

LOVE makes me smile and laugh and get butterflies all in my tummy... LOVE could seriously make this world such a better place!

I guess posting fun LOVE sessions, as I should call them, is doing my part by making this world a better place... maybe?! I'll go ahead and tell myself that.

Two of those people that are truly in love and is so evident is Matt & Caitlen!

I tell you what... When I started taking photos of them, the way they looked at each other gave me those smiles, laughs, and butterflies. They have SO much fun together and you can tell that even after sooooo many years being together, they are still head over heels in LOVE! I couldn't tell you how much fun it was to hang out with this couple.

Congratulations and we are SOOO stinkin' excited for your wedding here in just a few months!
