I was so excited for this wedding because I had such a great time with their engagements, that I knew their wedding was going to be wonderful... and it was!

Joe & Sarah are THEE sweetest couple, which I already bragged about them during their first photo session, but they were so positive and encouraging to each other and to everyone around them. They have such kind hearts and a personality that just draws you to them. I can totally see where they get it from since both sides of their families are amazing people as well. It makes what I do SO worth it working with people like Joe and Sarah. They coolest thing is.. is that I was able to capture it all through my photos, and they speak so loud. It was so wonderful shooting this wedding and it was one of my favorites of the year...

Congratulations and Thank you guys for making it such a great time! We hope you enjoy your new home in Virginia! Best wishes to you both!

David & Krystal: Engagements

I feel so honored to take David & Krystal's photos. Krystal and I met when I first moved here, she was one of my first friends in this new area and I can only thank God for sending me someone so sweet to help me along the way. She has been such a great and dear friend of mine. I am so blessed to be doing photos for her on her VERY special day. Todd and I met David last year at a wedding we were photographing and just fell in love with him as well. So when we heard that Krystal was "dating" David, we already knew why. They both are so sweet and friendly, so compatible with one another. It was no surprise that they would be so perfect together. We had an interesting time with their engagements, as both warned me they are not too comfortable in front of the camera... but you cannot tell at all! They had fun and made each other laugh, and made each thing we did a big laugh session.

I had a great time and can't wait to do your wedding here in a couple weeks! I know it's going to be beautiful!

Sooooo Sorry...

How time flies when you're NOT having fun too...

I am so sorry to everyone who reads this regularly. I have been doing nothing but slacking. It has been the busiest week and I don't know where the time went. We've been working on my office for the last couple weeks and what seems like the never ending project has come to somewhat of a close. The maintenance of the the room is done like the flooring, walls, trim, which took what seemed like an eternity. We got all the furniture despite the fact that I got the trunk shut on my head... BIG OUCH! So if you see me and I'm not speaking clearly or don't recognize your face that's probably why. We won't say who did it... but let's just say HE did feel horrible.

The furniture is in...well most of it. I don't have a desk chair or lamps yet. Plus I don't have it personalized with decoration, but that will come soon. I've got ideas, but I wanted to show a little preview of what it looks like as of right now.

This is the only before photo I could find... and Todd just took it when he was working on the room... can't you tell he's watching baseball while working. Ha!

Sweet Baby Abby!

No I don't have baby fever, I just have a couple week break before my next wedding and I'm loving fitting in some baby sessions. I actually met Abby's mom where I used to work, and turns out her sister works with Todd. What a small world! Baby Abby wanted to stay awake until the last couple minutes of our photo shoot, but she did so good and is so beautiful with those big blue eyes... they are gorgeous! Thanks again for a great time... I know I enjoyed it and we will see you both so soon.

I'm home... for now...

I'm home...FINALLY! Although I will be traveling one more time this summer, I am home for now after what seems like the never ending traveling summer. I can't wait for a free weekend of not doing much at all... but I'm not sure that will come anytime soon.

Todd and I decided to "remodel" my office, and when I was in Indiana this past week, he started without me. I love him for being so ambitious and going right into things, but did I mention I'm a neat freak and feel really uneasy when things are out of sorts? Probably not, so I'm somewhat hyperventilating as I post this. Let's just say that when you redo one room, where do you put everything in there... in OTHER rooms. So we have quite a bit of stuff hanging out in OTHER rooms. I know it will be awesome when it's done because I have some great ideas that I wanted. But the whole in-between part really stinks! I don't think posting a photo of the "process" will be necessary... ha! So instead, since I am finally home and can enjoy the garden we have started, I am posted some photos of a couple of my favorite flowers that we have. I might just have to live out back for the next couple weeks so I don't go insane in our remodel....haha!
