This was one for the books!!!

This past weekend we traveled down to Monticello, IL to shoot a beautiful wedding in Allerton State Park. It was probably one of the funnest (I know that's not a word, but it sounds better) weddings we have ever done. The wedding was originally suppose to be in San Diego, CA but unfortunately Cameron being in the Navy got orders to go to Chicago, so they changed their plans to Illinois. The whole wedding party, family, and guests were awesome! They were so sweet and were so appreciative of us. I also went to high school with the groom, so it was so good to see him and a few others that I have not seen since high school. I was thinking about that... and realized it has been about 6 years! I cannot believe it's been THAT long! But it was great to see and hang out and get to know some people we didn't know before. I am so happy for Cameron and Natasha, they make a fantastic couple and both Todd and I wish them nothing but the BEST!

Happy 4th of July!

I know... a few days late, but we were actually traveling AGAIN.

This time, we made our way down to Indianapolis to visit my BEST friend Stephanie and her husband Ethan. I was so excited as I have been planning this vacation for over a year now. The vacation obviously came with some work involved because we booked a wedding that was about 2 hours west of their home in Indy, but we were able to plan to come a day early and hang out, since everyone would be off of work on the 4th! I was so glad to visit because good friends are hard to come by when you get older. But no matter what the distance, it cannot keep us two apart, we are closer now than we ever have been and hopefully one day we will live closer (If I can just talk her into moving up here- Ha!) But we had SO much fun! We decided to have a cookout, despite the rain that decided to join us... boo! But it did clear up in time for us to go watch fireworks. Fireworks were... ehhhh... just OK! They weren't very long and the finale consisted of three fireworks in a row... whooo! We just sat there waiting for more to come, and then realized that was it. But we had such a good time catching up and just hanging out and most of all laughing together, which we always do, but it's so much funner in person. I cherish these moments so much because I know they don't happen everyday.

Saturday, we took photos all day, and it was a beautiful day for it! The couple and families were SUPER sweet and I love it when we get great couples/families because it makes it THAT much more enjoyable.

After shooting the wedding on Saturday night. We stayed back in Indy and drove through Kokomo to meet up with my family for breakfast. It was worth getting up early, especially since we didn't get to bed until 2:30am and got up at 6:30am to meet them. I was so happy to see them all, especially since this will be the LAST time without baby Isabella. It could be this week when she comes, and we couldn't be more excited for them! I'll keep everyone informed! Until then...

Joe & Sarah: Engagements

Joe and Sarah are the SWEETEST couple, and when I was going through the photos I realized how much fun they have together! They made each other laugh so much that when I was editing them, I found myself smiling from ear to ear because I knew how happy they made each other. They are so cute and I absolutely loved getting to know them better. I am super excited to shoot their wedding coming in August.

Thanks again guys for letting me capture your love... you truly are a beautiful couple inside and out!

What a BEAUTIFUL wedding!

Gary & Alana's wedding was so intimate it made my heart melt. The ceremony was held in Alana's parents back yard in their gorgeous garden, and what a beautiful day it was as well! Todd and I had so much fun and felt like a part of the party. They also had a DESSERT reception after the ceremony. They had so many different cakes and sweets... basically anything sugary they had it. Yes, I dove into that and even licked off all the icing I got on my camera... just kidding, but I would have if I got it on it! Ha! Their day was beautiful, but more importantly it was FULL to the brim with loved ones there to support Gary and Alana.

Congratulations you two... we are so happy for you both and enjoyed spending the day with you! Have fun starting your new life in Kentucky!

We're Back!

Tennessee was a BLAST! We didn't see any bear, but we did other animals and even some plastic duck that we thought were real until we kept seeing them in the same position and realized when one of the duck was floating on its side... we were FOOLED!

We did lots of driving through the mountains, which was an experience within itself. We were able to hike some really cool trails, which was my favorite part. The weather was interesting as the first night we were there it stormed terrible, but was followed by an amazing double rainbow... this photo doesn't even do it justice it was so beautiful, and believe it or not photographing a rainbow is a lot harder than it looks...



We did however find time to relax a bit although it went by too fast. I wish it would have been a couple extra days, but one of the best things was our view from the cabin. Check it out on a nicer day...



We will be heading out of town for a wedding near Chicago this Friday... when does the traveling ever end for me, I do not know. But I am enjoying it! I will be posting the last wedding and engagements here tomorrow. So stay tuned for some fun stuff!
